Outsole and underfoot technology is central to the Casca brand. With a limited budget for new developments, I pitched Vibram on Casca’s product vision and gained access to some of their newest developments. The ‘Bristol Lake’ outsole offered a robust, mountain-ready rubber sole with a PU-poured midsole to that offered unexpected cushioning our customers kept coming back for.
Building on Casca’s vision for long-lasting wardrobe staples with unexpected comfort, I travelled to Portugal and developed an elevated mountaineering boot; refined enough for the city streets, with all the functionality a true alpinist would need — waterproof & insulated construction, gusset tongue, durable hardware and the option to drop in Casca’s SmartFit™ orthotic technology.
